<b>Ata </b>is the skeletal remains of a <b>6-inch (150 mm)</b> human found in a deserted town in the Atacama Desert, Chile in 2003. Ata has since found its way into a private collection in Spain. It was found by Oscar Muñoz near an abandoned church in a ghost town called<b> La Noria,</b> 56 km to the interior of Iquique in northern Chile. Muñoz later sold it to a local pub owner for 30,000 pesos (approximately 60 USD), who then sold it to a Spanish businessman, Ramón Navia-Osorio, who is the current owner It was hailed as proof of alien life, a mummified visitor from another planet. Ten years after the remains of a six-inch ‘<b>space alien</b>’ were <b>first discovered</b>, they have been <b>confirmed as ‘human’</b> by Stanford scientists in a new documentary film <b>Sirius</b>. Since the remains of the small humanoid - known as the '<b>Atacama Humanoid</b>' and nicknamed <b>Ata</b> - were discovered in Chile's Atacama Desert 10 years ago there has been much speculation about its origins. Theories have included that the bones were those of an aborted fetus, or a monkey, or even an alien that had crash-landed on earth.  Although initially thought to be older, the remains have been dated to the last few decades, and contained high quality DNA for scientific analysis. Ata has an irregularly shaped skull and is missing two ribs. Ata may have also suffered from Oxycephaly. There are several hypotheses about what Ata is. Anatomist and paleoanthropologist William Jungers has suggested that it is a premature human fetus, considering the frontal suture was very open, and because the hands and feet were not fully ossified. An alternative hypothesis, by immunologist Garry Nolan is that Ata had progeria and thus died prematurely. Nolan's more speculative suggestion is that Ata suffered from a very severe form of dwarfism, but no genes for dwarfism have been found during his team's genetic analysis. Professor of Medicine, Ralph Lachman said that dwarfism cannot account for all the features found in Ata. During the DNA analysis by Nolan, the B2 haplotype group was found. Combined with the alleles from the mitochondrial DNA, it suggested that Ata is indigenous to the west of South America. While it has been claimed that Ata is an alien, by ufologists, the genetic material is consistent with a human.<br />

Dr Steven Greer, who led the project and documentary, has hit back at critics who claim the body is a hoax. 'The CAT scan clearly shows internal chest organs -lungs and what appear to be the remains of a heart structure,' he said. '<i><b>There is absolutely no doubt that the specimen is an actual organism and that it is not a hoax of any kind</b></i>. 'This fact has been confirmed by Dr. Nolan and Dr. Lachman at Stanford. In the weeks leading up to Monday’s premier of Sirius, UFO enthusiasts had grown increasingly excited that the film could announce a major breakthrough in the search for extra-terrestrial life forms. Experts say the small skeleton certainly bears many of the hallmarks of what we have come to believe aliens look like, in particular a large head overshadowing a small body. According to Chilean local newspaper, a man called Oscar Munoz found the remain on Oct. 19, 2003 when he was looking for objects of historical value in La Noria, a ghost town in the Atacama Desert.  Near an abandoned church, Munoz found a white cloth containing, according to the newspaper, ‘a strange skeleton no bigger than 15cm [the size of a pen].  It was a creature with hard teeth, a bulging head with an additional odd bulge on top. Its body was scaly and of dark color. Unlike humans, it had nine ribs. 'After six months of research by leading scientists at Stanford University, the Atacama Humanoid remains a profound mystery,' said physician and Disclosure Project founder Dr. Steven Greer. 'We traveled to Barcelona Spain in late September 2012 to obtain detailed X Rays, CAT scans and take genetic samples for testing at Stanford University.  'We obtained excellent DNA material by surgically dissecting the distal ends of two right anterior ribs on the humanoid. 'These clearly contained bone marrow material, as was seen on the dissecting microscope that was brought in for the procedure, 'In the new documentary, a DNA sample from bone marrow extracted from the specimen was analyzed by scientists at a prestigious American university.  <br />

The jeweller from <b>Russian diamond capital Yakutsk </b>completed his epic ice run from <b>Oymyakon</b>, the coldest settlement on the planet. As the rest of his native Sakha Republic were ringing in the New Year, he began running on the road towards Tomtor minutes after midnight on 1 January.  Before he set off, he received support from Chyskhaan - Lord of the Cold, preserver of the frost and ice here in Russia's own kingdom of cold. His idea was to run this marathon on New Year's night, as the world was celebrating. It worked fine - seconds after the clock struck midnight and the fireworks went off, he began running from the Pole of Cold, otherwise known as village of Oymyakon, towards the village of Tomtor.<br />

It's fair to say his friends and family did not overwhelm him with enthusiasm for his adventure.  Many people took his idea somewhat skeptically but he decided to get into training and go ahead with it, even if he had to run on his own. So he was in training for two and a half months at <b>-35C and -40C</b>. But this winter they had unusually mild weather, about ten degrees warmer than it should be. He did his last pre-marathon run -40C and felt great and ready to go. There were issues with getting the right kind of clothes. When you run in extreme heat there is a way to find shade and stop but when you are running at minus 40C, sweating, there is a certain danger in stopping. 'In Yakutia they have special mountain climbing equipment, but it is said to endure a maximum of minus 30C, and also it was not so comfortable for running. So he had to spend a lot of time selecting and experimenting with varieties of trousers and coats to find the right one, as well as some good thermals to have underneath. He took both a face mask and a balaclava to see what would be the best to protect the face. The balaclava proved easily the best. He also fixed a head torch on it to make sure he saw the road in the darkness since the area was rather wild one - this is not where you find street lights. He really hoped for a steady minus 40C, or minus 45C, and in about 20 minutes it started snowing, which was a real hassle in terms of visibility and the running. The road from Oymyakon to Tomtor is not the busiest in the world, especially in the middle of the night on 1 January - so it was really dark. 'Luckily in about two hours, the snow stopped and the sky got clear, which was fantastic as he was running with my own light, the stars, and the flashes of car lights behind him at a distance. He knew there was a certain risk of encountering animals. Since he was running on his own, and was not sure that he will get the car to follow him so he had done the route so that he ran 21+km one way, and then ran back. He got a picture of me at 21.97 km (his furthest point) on the way out, and another as he reached the finish back in Oymyakon.<br />

From about third hour he was running at minus 38C, and it was quite hard. He quoted 'My legs were hurting, and my body was quite tired. By the end of it, I was getting really cold. But I kept saying to myself that must go all the way, I've got to finish, I must not give up. And there was the finish! 'I was so happy and so proud for making it happen, I didn't even shout screams of joy, or something like this, I just wanted to get inside quick and make sure that I was all right. And yes, we did have several sips of champagne to celebrate. It was my first marathon, but I am sure it will not be the last one’. This year I will spend more time building a bigger team and making sure the word about our marathon reaches everyone who would like to come and run here.<br />It is very fascinating and indeed absorbing to see the human will to thrive and test its limits to achieve greatness.</span></span><br />

The Orda Cave is located in the Russian Ural Mountains and is 14,435 feet long and 141 feet deep. Within the cave is the longest subterranean passage yet discovered being 3,067 feet long. To add to the wonder, there are smaller passages and caverns still being discovered within the cave. <br />

Cave diver Bogdana Vashchenko explored the cave in 2005 for a book project called “<b>Orda Cave Awareness</b>”. She states “<i>It was an incomparable delight, floating in zero gravity in giant rooms filled with absolutely clear water.</i>” The first challenge is entering the cave. <b>The temperature can be a bitter -20 degrees Celsius at the surface with the water itself being 5 degrees Celsius. </b>Additionally, the slippery steps and ladders make it difficult to navigate to the entrance. <br />

However, once you brave the difficult entrance; you become enthralled in an aquatic wonderland. “<i>Orda Cave is very diverse and each passage is different</i>,” says Vashchenko. “<i>Therefore, swimming in it is never boring. Each dive is very different. Moreover, it is not completely explored and you can always find a place where nobody else has been. This inspires me for each new dive. It is a special feeling, I think it's the same feeling cosmonauts have on the Moon. You are hanging with no gravity in this strange, unusual world. You fly like a bird over its landscapes.</i>” </div>

An additional hazard within the cave is the gypsum rock. Due to its chalky color, the cave is also known to divers as the “white bride.” However, the rock is very fragile and a simple walk on the ceiling may cause it rain down upon you. Despite the risks, divers consider it well worth it once they view the beautiful pictures they captured of the scenery. “It’s hard, but we wanted to show people this beautiful cave so that they could share our admiration,” states Vashchenko. <br />

The reason you have to pee on a stick after your first missed period is that shortly after conception the fetus begins to secrete the hormone human chorionic gonadotropin or HCG, which is what is detected by home pregnancy tests, Dr. Ellerkmann says. Some women also notice a strong, pungent odor early on, even before they’re aware they’re pregnant. <br />

<i><b>2. You have an injury or a medical condition. </b></i><br />
<br />
Medically speaking, if there are red blood cells in your urine-known as “hematuria”-this could indicate a variety of conditions, according to Dr. Ellkermann, from kidney stones to an impact injury (in rare cases this can be caused by strenuous exercise like running long distances). A sweet odor can be indicative of diabetes, since your body isn’t properly processing glucose. If you’re over 35 and have erratic or heavy periods and an increase in urine frequency, you may have fibroids, benign uterine tumors that can press on your bladder. <br />
<br />
<i><b>3. You’re a big fan of blackberries. </b></i><br />
<br />
Are you Crazy for carrots or Bananas for beets? Certain fruits and vegetables that have dark pigments (like the anthocyanin) can tint urine either pink, in the case of red or purple produce, or orange if you’re eating foods rich in carotene like carrots, sweet potatoes, and pumpkins. If you’re on a produce kick or just a really big fan of borscht, a change in urine color is nothing to be alarmed about, just take note if it stays the same after you’ve given the farmer’s market a rest. And of course there is the notorious asparagus pee odor, caused by a harmless compound the veggie contains. <br />
<i><b><br />4. You have a UTI. </b></i><br />
<br />
Yes, that awful burning feeling is a pretty good indication you’ve got a dreaded urinary tract infection, but frequency (more than seven times a day, according to Dr. Ellkerman) is also a sign it’s time to call your doc. Other symptoms of a UTI can include fever, chills, pelvic/lower-back pain, and, occasionally, the presence of red blood cells can tinge urine pink, while white blood cells that are rushing to fight your infection can turn urine cloudy or cause an unpleasant odor. Cranberry juice won’t help after the fact, but may prevent a UTI by making it difficult for bacteria to adhere to the bladder wall. <br />
<i><b><br />5. Your kitchen is full of wine, chocolate, coffee, or hot sauce </b></i><br />

And they should be, as all of those things are either necessary, delicious, or both. Unfortunately if you have stress incontinence, they can also make it worse. While this isn’t terribly common in woman under 40, coffee, alcohol, sugar, and spicy foods can irritate bladder walls and aggravate the condition. <br />
<br />
<i><b>6. You’re dehydrated. </b></i><br />
<br />
You’ve may have heard that urine color-specifically dark yellow-can indicate dehydration, and this is indeed the case. When you’re properly hydrated, pee should be clear or just vaguely straw colored (the color in urine is caused by a pigment called urichrome, which gets lighter and darker depending on how concentrated urine becomes). A strong urinary odor, also due to concentration, is a sign of dehydration. <br />

“<b>Fire Rainbows</b>” are neither fire, nor rainbows, but are so called because of their brilliant pastel colours and flame like appearance. They are technically known as circumhorizontal arc - an ice halo formed by hexagonal, plate-shaped ice crystals in high level cirrus clouds. The halo is so large that the arc appears parallel to the horizon, hence the name. This amazing phenomenon is indeed very pleasant to beholders sight. <br />
<br />
Brightly coloured Fire Rainbows occur mostly during the summer and between particular latitudes. When the sun is very high in the sky, sunlight entering flat, hexagon shaped ice crystals gets split into individual colours just like in a prism. The conditions required to form a “fire rainbow” is very precise – the sun has to be at an elevation of 58° or greater, there must be high altitude cirrus clouds with plate-shaped ice crystals, and sunlight has to enter the ice crystals at a specific angle. This is why circumhorizontal arc is such a rare phenomenon.<br />

The position of the observer is also important relative to the phenomenon. Circumhorizontal arcs cannot be seen in locations north of 55°N or south of 55°S. Likewise there are certain times of the year when they are visible. For example, in London, England the sun is only high enough for 140 hours between mid-May and late July. While in Los Angeles, the sun is higher than 58 degrees for 670 hours between late March and late September. <br />
<br />
Circumhorizontal arcs should not be confused with iridescent clouds, which can produce a similar effect. While iridescence often occur in altocumulus, cirrocumulus clouds and lenticular clouds but very rarely in cirrus clouds whereas circumhorizontal arc occur only in cirrus clouds.<br />

Circumhorizon arcs are so huge that their colours sometimes appear to be those of the sky itself rather than an ice crystal halo.
